    No-Reduction Guarantee Terms

    Last updated: August 8, 2026

    Guarantee summary

If the final decision on your protest or appeal for the covered tax year shows no reduction in value, we'll refund your purchase price, provided that you filed on time, used our report for the covered property, completed the required process, and submit the required proof within 14 days. Exclusions apply, including missed deadlines, no-shows, withdrawn protests, incomplete claims, fraud, and pending further appeals.

The No-Reduction Guarantee applies only to eligible purchases of a report or appeal packet purchased from HomeTaxAppeal for a specific U.S. property and a specific tax year. In these Terms, "protest" includes any property tax protest, appeal, grievance, petition, or equivalent challenge, and "final decision" means the final written order or determination issued by the county or state body that decides it — in Texas, the Appraisal Review Board ("ARB") order.

    What the guarantee covers

If the customer's final decision for the covered tax year shows no reduction in the property's assessed, appraised, or market value, HomeTaxAppeal will refund the amount paid for the eligible purchase, subject to these Terms.

    Eligibility requirements

To qualify for a refund, the customer must satisfy all of the following:

    • The report must have been purchased directly from HomeTaxAppeal for the same property and tax year referenced in the claim.
    • The customer must have filed a valid protest on time under the applicable rules for that tax year and jurisdiction.
    • The customer must have used the purchased report or packet in connection with the protest.
    • The customer must have completed the required protest process in good faith, including attending the hearing or completing any required submission steps, unless the matter was resolved earlier through an official reduction.
    • The customer must submit a refund claim within 14 days after receiving the final decision.
    • The customer must provide all requested documentation, including a complete copy of the final decision and sufficient information for us to verify the property, tax year, and purchase.
    • No further appeal, arbitration, court challenge, or administrative review may be pending at the time of the claim, unless HomeTaxAppeal expressly agrees in writing to review the claim earlier.

    Required proof

We may require any of the following:

    • Final decision (in Texas, the final ARB order)
    • Notice of appraised or assessed value
    • Protest filing confirmation
    • County portal screenshots
    • Proof of ownership or authority to act for the property
    • Property account or parcel number
    • The original purchase confirmation
    • Any other reasonable documents needed to verify the claim

When a claim is not eligible

The guarantee does not apply where any of the following occurred:

    • The protest was filed late
    • The claim was submitted for the wrong property or wrong tax year
    • The customer failed to provide accurate property details
    • The customer did not use the purchased report
    • The hearing or protest was dismissed because of nonappearance, nonresponse, incomplete filing, or other customer-side failure
    • The protest was rejected or dismissed due to procedural errors, including but not limited to mismatched owner name, incorrect appraisal-district or assessor account number, or other filing inaccuracies
    • The protest was withdrawn
    • The customer used another service, representative, or submission that materially changed the basis of the protest
    • The customer provided false, misleading, incomplete, or fraudulent information
    • The customer is still pursuing a later appeal or related proceeding
    • The property's value was reduced and the customer still seeks a refund
    • The request otherwise does not satisfy these Terms

    Refund amount

The refund is limited to the amount actually paid for the eligible product. The guarantee does not cover filing fees, taxes, third-party charges, legal fees, lost savings, incidental damages, or any other amount.

    Verification rights

HomeTaxAppeal may verify claims using customer-submitted materials, public records, county appraisal district records, payment records, and other reasonable sources. We may deny claims that cannot be verified.

    Processing time

Please allow up to 14 business days after we receive all required documentation for review and response.

    Fraud prevention

We reserve the right to deny any claim that appears fraudulent, abusive, duplicative, or inconsistent with the purchase or public record.

    Limitations

The guarantee applies only once per eligible purchase and only to the originally purchased property and tax year. It is non-transferable and may not be combined with other offers unless expressly stated.

    Changes

HomeTaxAppeal may update or discontinue the guarantee for future purchases at any time. The version in effect on the purchase date will govern that purchase.
